Brainspotting Therapy
Deep Healing from the Body Up
Do you ever feel like talk therapy helps you understand your story but doesn’t fully release what’s underneath it?
Brainspotting Therapy (BSP) works differently—it heals from the body up rather than the brain down.
This somatic and ancestral approach helps your nervous system process the emotions and experiences that words alone can’t reach. By gently connecting with your body’s innate wisdom, we can access deeper layers of healing and release what’s been holding you back, leading to emotional liberation.
Brainspotting helps you reconnect with your body, spirit, and even the ancestral and natural rhythms that support your growth and resilience.
In my personal experience with Brainspotting, my ancestors have been present, helping me not only heal intergenerational trauma, but also providing me with their wisdom and teachings.
How Brainspotting Works
Brainspotting is a neuro-experiental approach based on the idea that “where you look affects how you feel”- David Grand, Founder of BSP.
By focusing your gaze on specific points—called “brainspots”—we access the areas of your brain where unprocessed emotions, memories, and experiences are stored- the deepest part of the brain.
In our sessions, I’ll guide you to notice sensations, emotions, and shifts in your body as we locate and process these spots. Healing happens naturally as your nervous system and your body have the capacity to self-heal and to return to balance and calm.
Brainspotting supports:
Nervous System Regulation: Helping your body feel grounded and safe
Somatic Emotional Release: Releasing emotional energy stored in the body & reducing anxiety, depression, anger and more
Trauma healing: Reprocessing traumatic memories so they don’t feel as heavy & liberating from intergenerational trauma
Spiritual and Ancestral Connection: Honoring the deeper layers of your healing journey & reconnecting with those that came before you
Many clients find that Brainspotting reaches deeper and works faster and more gently than traditional talk therapy, —creating lasting change from the inside out. Don’t get me wrong, talk therapy is still important, so I combine the two in order to give you the best of both worlds.
What to Expect from Brainspotting
Every Brainspotting session moves at your pace.
You don’t have to talk through everything or relive painful memories. We simply follow your body’s cues and let healing emerge naturally.
Together, we’ll:
Create a calm, supportive space for your body to process safely
Use mindful focus to identify and release what feels stuck
Create room for integration during talk therapy, allowing you to reflect on your experiences and make sense of what’s emerging
Somatic and nervous system healing isn’t about forcing change—it’s about allowing your body and spirit to remember what safety and regulation feel like.
